District Galicia

It was composed of former territories of the Second Polish Republic , since 1939 occupied by Soviet Union . In 1941 after Operation Barbarossa those territories were occupied by Nazi Germany and incorporated into General Government ; until having been retaken by the Red Army in 1944.
