Valencia Creek is a rural area situated in East Gippsland, Victoria , Australia . The junction of Valencia Creek and the Avon river are a short stroll upstream from the town centre, which comprises a fire station, hall and church (no longer doing services), as well as a Post office (which closed down in about 1900 or almost that long ago anyway). The local school was last open in the (can't remember) but was consolidated with a number of other surrounding schools to form Boisdale Consolidated School #6207. The foothills of the Great Dividing Range start immediately north of Valencia Creek, while Dairy farms stretch away in the South along Avon River flats to Boisdale. Names synonymous with Valencia Creek include Cameron, Missen, McInnes, McMillan and others. |
