HISTORY


The airline was established and started operations in 1971 . It was founded by 4 pilots and diversified in 1972 by setting up a flying school, which in 1973 became the Piper Flying School in Europe. VIP, ambulance and express cargo charters were added later and in 1986 European Air Transport was bought by DHL to transport urgent shipments across Europe. It employs 600 staff.
In 2008 , DHL will reposition their main hub to Leipzig, Germany. This will result in almost complete reseignment of current EAT and DHL Aviation staff in Brussels.

European Air Transport also operates services to the following international freight destinations (at January - Bergamo , Bahrain , Dubai , Kandahar , Lyon , Tel Aviv , Copenhagen , East Midlands and Milan .
