''Europa Universalis III'' is a grand strategy computer game, currently scheduled for release in early 2007 .

The game starts in 1453 right after the Fall of Constantinople and continues up until the Revolutions Of France and America .

Unlike previous '' Europa Universalis '' games, ''EUIII'' has a totally new 3D engine. The new map has 1,700 land and sea provinces and there are 250 playable historical nations in game. The game also uses features and ideas of other Paradox games such as '' Crusader Kings '', ''Victoria'' and '' Hearts Of Iron II ''.
