Tamir was the son of Shmuel Tamir (Katzenelson). Like his father, Tamir served in the Knesset , the Israeli Parliament . He also served as Israel's Minister of Justice. Tamir is now an active member of the Israeli Lawyers' Guild and was a member of the Managing Committee of the Tel Aviv Lawyers' Guild. Josef Tamir represented hundreds of Israeli families during the Pullout from the Gaza region. He is married and the father of two girls. |
