Information About

Radiant Intensity

In Radiometry , radiant intensity is a measure of the intensity of a light beam. It is defined as Power per unit Solid Angle . The SI unit of radiant intensity is Watt s per Steradian (W·sr-1). Note that this is quite distinct from the meaning of Intensity in other areas of physics, and the latter definition is sometimes used in optics as well, where Irradiance or Radiant Exitance would be the preferred radiometric term.
