Marcelo Gleiser is a Brazil ian Physicist and Astronomer . He received his bachelor's degree in 1981 from Catholic University Of Rio De Janeiro , his M.Sc. degree in 1982 from Universidade Federal Do Rio De Janeiro and his Ph.D. in 1986 from the King's College at the University Of London . He is professor of Physics and Astronomy at the Dartmouth College since 1991. He is atheist. Dr. Gleiser is also a well-known and popularizer. He wrote two bestseller books and writes a science column every Sunday in a supplement of the Folha De São Paulo newspaper. He has been awarded the "José Reis" Prize of Best Science Popularizer, by the Brazilian National Research Council . |
