Dichlorine heptoxide is the anhydride of Perchloric Acid ; it is related to Perchlorate s generally. Dichlorine heptoxide melts at -91.5 °C and boils at 82 °C. It is highly explosive and can be produced by the extremely careful distillation of concentrated perchloric acid. It dissolves in water to form perchloric acid. |
