Barbara Marshall (born March 5 , 1944 ) is an American Television Broadcast Journalist and Politician . She rose to prominence in the state of Hawaii as Reporter for KHON , an NBC and later FOX Television Network affiliate. A native of Berwyn, Illinois , Marshall began her career at KHON only months after arriving in the Hawaiian Islands in 1979 . Marshall ran for Lieutenant Governor Of Hawaii alongside Mayor Of Honolulu Frank Fasi on the 1994 Best Party ticket. In 2000 , she ran for a seat on the Honolulu City Council and won. She was reelected to the council seat on September 18 , 2004 . |
