Sahih Bukhari is one of the Sunni Six Major Hadith Collection s, collected by Muhammad Al-Bukhari . He was born in Hijra 195 and died in hijra 262. He spent 16 years writing it. It is the most famous Hadith collection. It was published 4 years after his death. ". It is said that before he placed a hadith in his collection, he would perform Ghusl (full\greater ablution) and prayed two Rakah (Islamic unit for form of prayer) Nafl (voluntary prayer) to ask Allah for guidance. SUNNI AND SHIITE EVALUATION Muslims have differing views of this collection. hadith, an honour it shares only with Sahih Muslim , both being referred to as the Two Sahihs . Shia do not hold it the same high esteem, accepting some and rejecting others as false, some of which, in their opinion, defame Muhammad and his ''pure household'' ( Ahl Al Bayt ). They hold him to be biased to the point of not including what they consider to be the most heavily sourced hadith in Islam, the Mutawatir Hadith Of The Two Weighty Things . Qur'an Alone Muslims do not value any hadith as a basis for religious guidance, and regard this collection as no exception. The Shias' most important hadith collection is Usul Al-Kafi ; but even this collection is ''not'' considered to be wholly authentic by Shias themselves.
