June Event

EMMANUEL COLLEGE JUNE EVENT

Some colleges at Cambridge, including Emmanuel , alternate each year between holding a May Ball and a June Event. One major reason for this is to keep a degree of uniqueness for May Balls.

KING'S COLLEGE JUNE EVENT

The King's College, Cambridge June Event is now known as the King's Affair , it is the King's College version of a May Ball, although it remains a more casual event than most May Balls.

TRINITY HALL JUNE EVENT

On 22nd June 2005, Trinity Hall, Cambridge also held a June Event as opposed to a May Ball , which was considerably cheaper than a typical May Ball, with a single ticket being £49. It, like most '''June Events''', featured a wide selection of live music. Notable acts performing included the electronic star Mylo , local band Sleepwalker and Queen tribute act Queen B.
It receieved mixed reactions with The Cambridge Student , a student newspaper, criticising the queues for stalls once inside the Event, the beer and the half-hearted execution of the Event's theme, "Beast". Another student newspaper, Varsity , declared the event a success.
