The Central Eastern Rainforest Reserves includes eight separate areas totaling 3,665 square km, clustered around the New South Wales - Queensland border. They were inscribed to the World Heritage list in 1986 , covering only the N.S.W. sites (3600 km²) and extended in 1994 to cover the Queensland sites (592 km²). The Queensland areas include Lamington National Park , Springbrook National Park , Mount Barney National Park , Main Range National Park , and 37 other National parks and protected areas as well. The NSW areas include Dorrigo National Park . The Central Eastern Rainforests Reserves (Australia) World Heritage area meets three of the four natural criteria for listing: I; II; IV. |
